We explore a tributary of the Tarzan River, hiking up a deep gorge with rock formations, waterfalls, and small swimming pools. Bring: 4 quarts water, hiking boots, gloves, water shoes, sun screen, sunglasses, insect repellent, lunch, and camera. Special conditions: swordgrass, walking in water, scrambling over rocks, muddy slopes.
Every Saturday, Guam Boonie Stompers offers public hikes to a varietyof destinations such as beaches, snorkeling sites, waterfalls, mountains, caves, latte sites, and World War II sites. We meet at 9:00 AM in the Center Court of Chamorro Village in Hagatna. The cost is $2.00 for hikers over 12. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Hikers should provide their own transportation. Guam’s trails are not developed. Weather conditions can make the hikes more difficult than described. No reservations required.
