Caves and coastlines this month.
Every Saturday, Guam Boonie Stompers offers public hikes to a variety of
destinations such as beaches, snorkeling sites, waterfalls, mountains, caves,
latte sites, and World War II sites. We meet at 9:00 AM in the Center
Court of Chamorro Village in Hagatña. The cost is $2.00 for hikers over
12. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Hikers should
provide their own transportation for the entire hike. Guam Boonie Stompers
does not provide transportation. Guam’s trails are not developed. Weather
conditions can make the hikes more difficult than described. No reservations
required.

Asiga Cave
Difficulty Rating: Difficult
Distance: 4 hours for 1.5 miles
We explore this isolated southeastern wilderness of cliffs, caves, and an underground pool.
Bring: 4 quarts water, hiking boots,
gloves, long pants, flashlight,
suncreen, sunglasses, insect repellent,
lunch, and camera.
Special conditions: Walking on rough rocks
and climbing in caves.

La Sa Fua Valley
Difficulty Rating: Medium
Distance: 3 hours for 1 miles
We explore the waterfalls of a southwestern Guam valley.
Bring: 2 quarts water, swim suit, water shoes, hiking shoes, gloves, insect repellent, sun screen, sunglasses, lunch, and a camera.
Special conditions: Some steep slopes, wet rocks, and walking in water

Nimitz Hill Caves
Difficulty Rating: Medium
Distance: 3 hours for 1.2 miles
We explore World War II caves from a significant battlefled of late July 1944 from the Liberation of Guam.
Bring: 2 quarts water, hiking boots, gloves, long pants, flashlight, insect repellent, lunch and camera. Special conditions: Climbing and crawling in narrow cave passages.

Gun Beach to Tanguisson Beach
Difficulty Rating: Medium
Distance: 3 hours for1.8 miles
We pass below the imposing cliffs of Two Lovers Point, visit latte, and explore teh coastline with a cooling dip in the ocean.
Bring: 2 quarts water, hiking boots, swim suit, water shoes, gloves, insect repellent, sun screen, sunglasses, lunch, and camera.
Special conditions: Some walking in water and over rough rocks.

Stomp Tips:
Alcohol and hiking do now mix.
Do not bring beverages with caffeine on hikes.
Always bring plenty of water on a hike.
Do not hike alone and let someone know where you are going and your return time.
